Abstract

There are various types of beliefs and representations in the Georgian people’s spiritual culture, and those mostly were related to the cult of ancestor and the process of sacralization of the shrines of the patronymic organization.

At the same time, in the pagan religious panorama of the Georgian people, different types of cults can be seen, their regional and local features are revealed. Cults of territorial and ideological groups in many places were understood in the prism of kinship with a traditional mentality and had a patronymic character.

The basis of a number of cults was a common origin, which was dominant in several regional cultures of Georgian societies in terms of integration within socio-regional groups and as a result of personification, carried the signs of ideological unity.
