In Memoriam of Elene Tsagareishvili

Abstract

The outstanding researcher in field of source-studies Elene Tsagarishvili passed away . The field of her specialization was in Armenian sources of Georgian history . She belonged to the generation of Georgian scholars who were supervised by Ilia Abuladze. Elene Tsagarishvili has translated several monuments of Armenian medieval historiogra - phy and published them with relevant commentaries and investigation. She worked on unfin - ished work (Georgian-Armenian and Armenian-Georgian documented vocabulary) by her eminent teacher and accomplished it with success. Elene Tsagareishvili had attractive personality . She herself was very good teacher: during the years she directed seminar at the Georgian National Center of Manuscripts and taught the young researchers to old Armenian. Elene Tsagarishvili ‘s death is a great loss for Georgian academic community .
